Santa Visits Preschool

Every year Miss Karen has Santa come visit the kids at preschool. The twins were so excited about it they jumped out of bed that morning and shouted "Santa is coming today." They have got the greatest preschool teachers! They were even sweet enough to take a picture of the Aiden and Ella together with Santa! Aiden told Santa he wanted Melman Pajama's (from Madagascar) and Ella told Santa she wanted dress up and dolls to share with her sister! All three kids are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa on Christmas Eve. I wonder what he will bring this year!

New Winter Snow Pics!

Aunt Shanae is awesome. Her and I took the kids up to Butterfield Canyon and she was kind enough to take the time to take some new pics of the kids. It was so cold the kids could barely stand it, plus it was way icy and we kept sliding all over the place. But they were such good sports about it and the pictures turned out way cute.

Abby's Big Art Show!

Back in May Abby entered a picture into an art contest at the new Riverton Hospital near our house. Well four months later we got an invitation in the mail saying that her entry was select among 150 others to be framed and displayed at the new hospital and that there was going to be an open house honoring the artists. It was truly a great night to get to see hers and a couple of her friends artwork in a huge picture frame with the little plaque with her name and age on it, to be displayed at the hospital for years to come! What a great experience for my little artist! Abby your Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you. And thanks to Panka for coming with us and making it a truly unforgettable night!

Disneyland 2009

We got to got to Disneyland last week. We drove out there for a few days and had such a great time. It is Halloween time there so we got to see everything decorated for the holiday. They even had the entire Haunted Mansion ride redecorated for the season. It was so fun. The twins were just barely tall enough to go on all the rides so we were glad for that. The only major bummer was that Pirates of the Caribean was closed which was the ride the kids were the most excited about. While we were there we had breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and dinner at Ariel's Grotto so the kids got the chance to meet all of the characters they wanted to see. All in all it was a great vacation now if only all of our vacations went that smoothly!

Crazy Life

Oh my heck I cannot seem to keep up with everything. Things have been really crazy so I have not been up on blogging lately. We have been out of town recently and are leaving again soon. We never travel and somehow we landed two trips in one month. So it's been busy but good. Abby is loving second grade and is doing really well. She reads like a pro and is having fun trying to trick Mom and Dad with all the really big words she can read. They had 70's day at school last week and so we made her up as a little hippie and she had a blast. Aiden and Ella are loving preschool and can't wait to tell me everyday what new things they have learned. They are really into the playing with friends stage right now but things have been so busy it has been hard to find time. Abby and Ella are doing tumbling one day a week and Aiden has started karate. Abby is also taking piano lessons. So between Piano, tumbling, karate, preschool, cub scouts, pta, work, Kelly's school, vacations, and life things have been crazy to say the least!

Comcasts Family Zoo Day!

For Comcast's summer party this year they hosted a day at the zoo. After 6:00 they had Hogle Zoo reserved for just comcast employee's. It was a ton of fun and the kids had a blast. Comcast provided dinner and we got unlimited train rides and carousel rides. It worked out to be a great family day. They kids were very excited to see the different animals and as you can see in the video they also were excited to act like the animals as well.

Abby Goes to Second Grade

Oh my heck I can't believe that it is already time for the kids to go back to school and that Abby is going into 2nd grade! She was very excited but a little nervous. We had a last day of summer splash party the Friday before and had some friends come over for ice cream treats and lots of water fun. It was a lot of fun and a good way to close out the summer fun we have been having. But Abby did get started at school and is loving it, so yeah!

Busy Summer Days

Oh my goodness this has been such a crazy summer. I can't believe it has been over a month since I last blogged. So much has been going on I don't even know where to start.
Abby lost her top front two teeth and looks so darn cute. I can't believe how much she has grown up. She will be 7 this week and all she wants is a Nintendo DS. She is way excited that the new Harry Potter movie is coming out on her birthday so she is asking to go to the movie on her birthday.
All three of the kids are in swimming lessons for a couple of weeks and are loving it. We haven't really been able to stick to much of a schedule with all of this swimming, it's made for a rather chaotic week. To throw in the mix with everything I also had cub scout camp to work into the schedule. It is kind of a pain to schedule in but I sure do love my Webelos and have been enjoying my calling.
Also at the beginning of summer we undertook a pretty large yard project and ripped out a ton of bushes and trees and put in some new flower beds but I think we are finally wrapping that up.
In addition to all of that it seems like we have had company at our house every weekend for a month. We love having family around but it sure adds to the craziness.
Overall everything is good. I am definitely going to try and be better at keeping up on my blogging though so we'll see.

Preschool Graduation

Yeah we made it through the first year of the twins preschool. We are so very lucky to have such a wonderful preschool teacher like Miss Karen. The twins have learned so much over the last nine months and we have enjoyed watching how their little personalities have evolved as they are learning to interacted with other kids and follow the teachers instructions. Last Thursday Miss Karen hosted the graduation in her back yard and bought actual caps and gowns for the kids this year, and while they struggled to keep the caps on their little heads it was very cute. They sang a few songs and then each of the kids told us what they wanted to be when they grew up. Ella wants to be a princess and Aiden wants to be Spiderman, kids are so cute. Thanks Miss Karen for such a wonderful year and we are looking forward to another year with you.

Trip to the Sand Dunes!

We were lucky enough to get a chance to spend 2 days at Little Sahara with our friends. We got to camp, ride ATV's, and just plain have fun. The kids loved it and even the grown ups had a alot of fun. We managed to survive the trip with only one minor injury, Aiden managed to hit his head on the 4 wheeler and even with the helmet on he got a rather nice cut on his eyebrown. But it all ended well. Thanks to Scott for letting us use all of his ATV's and organizing the trip.

Happy Easter!

Okay so I am starting to get a little behind on blogging. We had a great little Easter nothing to over the top which worked out perfect. Earlier in the week Gammy (Kelly's Mom) visited the kids and gave them a ton of little Easter presents. We decorated eggs on Saturday night and then had a great Easter morning with little baskets and an egg hunt. Then we went over to Panka (grandpa Tippets) and Grandma Michele's and had dinner and another egg hunt! It was a great Easter and we are just so grateful for such great family and friends!

Visiting Vernal!

On Wednesday night I made a last minute decision to take the kids to Vernal to visit our friends the Lintons. For those of you that don't know the Lintons they are some of our best friends and they moved from our neighborhood about 8 months ago for a new job and we haven't been able to make it down to visit them until now. Well the kids were over the top excite just to see each other. It was so much fun, all 5 of the older kids just played together and had no interest in being around the grown ups. We just hung out and watched movies on Thursday night and then went to the dinosaur museum and McDonalds on Friday before we headed home. It was way to short of a trip but it was so good to get a chance to be with friends and be out of the house for a couple of days.
