Busy Summer Days

Oh my goodness this has been such a crazy summer. I can't believe it has been over a month since I last blogged. So much has been going on I don't even know where to start.
Abby lost her top front two teeth and looks so darn cute. I can't believe how much she has grown up. She will be 7 this week and all she wants is a Nintendo DS. She is way excited that the new Harry Potter movie is coming out on her birthday so she is asking to go to the movie on her birthday.
All three of the kids are in swimming lessons for a couple of weeks and are loving it. We haven't really been able to stick to much of a schedule with all of this swimming, it's made for a rather chaotic week. To throw in the mix with everything I also had cub scout camp to work into the schedule. It is kind of a pain to schedule in but I sure do love my Webelos and have been enjoying my calling.
Also at the beginning of summer we undertook a pretty large yard project and ripped out a ton of bushes and trees and put in some new flower beds but I think we are finally wrapping that up.
In addition to all of that it seems like we have had company at our house every weekend for a month. We love having family around but it sure adds to the craziness.
Overall everything is good. I am definitely going to try and be better at keeping up on my blogging though so we'll see.

Preschool Graduation

Yeah we made it through the first year of the twins preschool. We are so very lucky to have such a wonderful preschool teacher like Miss Karen. The twins have learned so much over the last nine months and we have enjoyed watching how their little personalities have evolved as they are learning to interacted with other kids and follow the teachers instructions. Last Thursday Miss Karen hosted the graduation in her back yard and bought actual caps and gowns for the kids this year, and while they struggled to keep the caps on their little heads it was very cute. They sang a few songs and then each of the kids told us what they wanted to be when they grew up. Ella wants to be a princess and Aiden wants to be Spiderman, kids are so cute. Thanks Miss Karen for such a wonderful year and we are looking forward to another year with you.

Trip to the Sand Dunes!

We were lucky enough to get a chance to spend 2 days at Little Sahara with our friends. We got to camp, ride ATV's, and just plain have fun. The kids loved it and even the grown ups had a alot of fun. We managed to survive the trip with only one minor injury, Aiden managed to hit his head on the 4 wheeler and even with the helmet on he got a rather nice cut on his eyebrown. But it all ended well. Thanks to Scott for letting us use all of his ATV's and organizing the trip.

Happy Easter!

Okay so I am starting to get a little behind on blogging. We had a great little Easter nothing to over the top which worked out perfect. Earlier in the week Gammy (Kelly's Mom) visited the kids and gave them a ton of little Easter presents. We decorated eggs on Saturday night and then had a great Easter morning with little baskets and an egg hunt. Then we went over to Panka (grandpa Tippets) and Grandma Michele's and had dinner and another egg hunt! It was a great Easter and we are just so grateful for such great family and friends!

Visiting Vernal!

On Wednesday night I made a last minute decision to take the kids to Vernal to visit our friends the Lintons. For those of you that don't know the Lintons they are some of our best friends and they moved from our neighborhood about 8 months ago for a new job and we haven't been able to make it down to visit them until now. Well the kids were over the top excite just to see each other. It was so much fun, all 5 of the older kids just played together and had no interest in being around the grown ups. We just hung out and watched movies on Thursday night and then went to the dinosaur museum and McDonalds on Friday before we headed home. It was way to short of a trip but it was so good to get a chance to be with friends and be out of the house for a couple of days.

Mommy and Abby's Georgia Vacation!

What a great experience. My brother James graduated from the officers canidacy program on April 2nd and me and Abby decided to fly out to Fort Benning, Georgia to be there, along with my three sisters, my Dad and Michele, and my nephew Hunter. We went to the graduation on Thursday and it rained all day. It was a long day and poor Abby fell asleep during the graduation, but it was awesome to be able to be there with James for such and important day. Friday James gave us a tour around the army post and we went to the new army infantry museum (which is not quite finished). Then we went and saw the tanks which the kids just loved. We also shopped around at some of the store on and around the army post. Then Saturday we drove up to Atlanta and went to the Georgia Aquarium, the Coke factory, and the underground. The aquarium was so cool and Abby just loved the jelly fish, but she was bummed that the dolphin exhibit was closed for remodeling. The Coke factory was fun as well, they have a tasting room where you can taste coke products from all around the world, which gave all of us a tummy ache. All in all it was a great trip and a good experience for Abby. Oh and Kelly and the twins did survive while we were away, although I think there was a lot of pizza and snaking!
